   Yeah, local traffic laws can be money-makers too. The last time I was in   
   California, a drive down the main street in Taft made this quite obvious.   
   ALL the side streets crossing the main drag had priority, so you had to   
   play stop-go all the way down the main street or get pulled over. No   
   lights, just worn white paint on the tarmac.
