   Wasn't that when McCarthyites and rabid Puritan God-botherers were a   
   force in the land whose slightest whim was LAW? In those times I seem to   
   remember heading that radio station owners wouldn't have played anything   
   that didn't reek of Holiness, American Values and not upsetting the DAR   
   so I'd imagine that Zappa was right out except in godless places like   
   California and NYC.
