   Ask them for the book, chapter and verse in the Bible where it says that   
   Halloween is Satan's Holiday. Jeer at them when they can't find it and   
   tell to go away read their bibles more carefully.

   - and in any case "hallow" means "to make holy or sacred, to sanctify or   
   consecrate, to venerate" so the literal truth is that All Hallows Day is   
   a time for venerating the saints and has nothing whatsoever to do with   
   Satan.   
      
   Its more usually referred to as Harvest Festival over here and in NZ. I'd   
   never heard of Halloween, trick n treating and all that stuff before   
   meeting Americans and seeing American children's books. Somebody tried to   
   get it going over here 10-20 years ago but thats pretty much died out   
   now, once people realised it was just another way for shops to sell junk   
   to kids' parents.
