The style was evolved in       London to still be drinkable after the barrel had been transported to       India in a sailing ship. It has surely changed since then but I don't       know how. I enjoy a good IPA but prefer a traditional English Bitter:       Hardy's and Fullers both make excellent examples.              When in Europe, most German beer (both light and dark) is very drinkable       and some of the Czech lagers are good (Urquell Pils and Staropramen are       the best. Moretti is good in Italy. The Belgians make good stuff too,       especially Chimay Bleu. Forget beer drinking in France though, the French       can't make anything drinkable that isn't wine.                     --       Martin | martin at       Gregorie | gregorie dot org              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
