From: ronmoses@gmail.com              Just to step back to the original subject of this thread... I saw the show       Friday night in Boston (thanks to a very generous Mike Keneally) and it was       pretty damn wonderful. The band was great, and it was a multimedia       extravaganza. They played most of        what you might consider the "hits": Camarillo Brillo, I'm The Slime, Dirty       Love, Montana, all that stuff. But they also played a few deeper cuts like       Alien Orifice and The Evil Prince, and at least one thing I'd never heard       before. Also they played        Farther Oblivion in its original form. Great stuff.              The "hologram" was a very minor part of the show. It was out there for maybe       four songs, and was actually kind of impressive. But definitely not overdone.              All in all I found it to be a lovely tribute to Frank and his music. Ahmet       even made an appearance, singing two songs and leading some audience       participation that was pretty funny, though maybe went on a wee bit too long.              If you can see it, do.              ron              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
