   Local Pet Skunk to be featured on Animal Planet   
      
   SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - A Schuylkill Haven skunk is making her national   
   television debut Dec. 11.   
      
   Penelope "Penny," a 3 1/2-year-old North American hooded skunk, will   
   appear on Animal Planet's "Peculiar Pets" at 8 p.m. and again at 11 p.m.   
      
   In the spring, Penny's "parents," Gaylene Ebling and David Evely, heard   
   about a casting call for the show from photographer Mike Bailey, Pottsville.   
      
   "We take Penny to Mike for her photos. His sister, Amy Eckert, told him   
   about the casting call for the show and said they were looking for a   
   skunk," Ebling said.   
      
   Ebling said the couple e-mailed the information about Penny to the   
   Animal Planet website and were contacted by Dawn Wolfe, studio animal   
   trainer and talent coordinator for Pawsitively Famous Animal Actors.   
      
   "She asked us to come to Philadelphia for a photo shoot," Ebling said.   
   "They couldn't believe we had a skunk in a stroller, so that is one of   
   the things they filmed."
