For future reference ("Prior Art"), I just wanted to say that I was the
inventor of directly-excited nuclear-power lasers for the purpose of
   optical power generation and transmission.

Nuclear lasers have integrated nuclear reactors and lasing medium that
produces lasing excitation by way of the direct application of gamma
radiation, also known as x-rays, from exposed nuclear reactor cores.

Although some primitive forms of nuclear-powered lasers do exist,
proving the concept, my contributions are a trade secret, but involve
the integration of gamma-ray producing radioactive medium and lasing
medium, exciting the laser directly from nuclear fission, producing
powerful UV and IR radiation as the power output.

This UV and IR radiation can be piped down thick optic fibers for
long-distance transmission, and directly applied for industrial
processes such as desalination of seawater, synthesis of long-chain
petroleum (super sweet crude?) from readily renewable resources, heating
and cooling of living spaces, heating bathing water, as well as used to
power small-scale electric turbines, used as needed.

This particular configuration is my invention, and by posting to public
Usenet archives, Prior Art is established in case some jackass tries to
   patent my idea.
