   There are quite a few things I like about the furry subculture.   
      
   1) The fandom focuses on cuteness and a sense of innocence and purity   
   that cannot be found elsewhere.   
   2) The fandom largely portrays sex as something natural and pure, which   
   is rare.   
   3) Furries are generally sexually liberated to an extreme degree.   
   4) Further, furries are generally extremely sex-positive.   
   5) Furries are extremely tolerant of diversity, which is rare in many   
   cultures.   
   6) The fandom gives people chance after chance to change and improve.   
   Too many cultures treat criminals as permanently damaged and refuses to   
   permit them a single chance to reintegrated into society. The furry   
   fandom gives criminals a chance to redeem themselves.   
   7) The fandom ignores race, color, creed, physical sex and other   
   physical attributes, permitting you to represent yourself as you truly are.   
   8) Furries generally enjoy having fun and focus on fun, which can be   
   rare in some cultures.   
   9) Furries are open, expressive, authentic and accessible emotionally.   
   They are who they truly are, when among fellow furries. This openness is   
   vanishingly rare outside the fandom.   
   10) The fandom focuses on art and culture above all else, even sex.   
   While a large portion of furry artwork is sexual in theme, a great deal   
   of it is not. There is also a very large portion of artwork, stories and   
   whatnot that is primarily non-sexual but has a significant amount of sex   
   included in it.   
      
   The fandom has a lot to offer, and while it is not for everyone, I   
   consider being a furry the only reasonable approach to life.   
      
   There are additional reasons, as well.   
      
   11) The fandom is autistic-friendly. Because individuals living with   
   neural diversity and mental challenges are over-represented in the   
   fandom, individuals who are living with differently-operating minds are   
   more accepted and supported than they would be elsewhere.   
   12) The true diversity of the fandom is staggering, You'll find almost   
   every kind of person imaginable all coexisting behind the fluffy   
   exterior of their fursona.   
   13) Furries tend to communicate honestly and straightforwardly,   
   simplifying and minimizing the complexity of social and linguistic   
   protocols, making it easier for those who are socially challenged to   
   interact meaningfully with others. The furry fandom uses the animal   
   kingdom as a model to follow, keeping shit real, as it were.   
      
   Others may have other reasons why they love the fandom, but   
   accessibility, openness and sincerity are the biggest things I love   
   about it. Other cultures may preach diversity and tolerance, but the   
   furry fandom actually walks the walk, not just talks the talk.
