   Sometimes I think, what if the web never advanced into what we have now,   
   with all that animations, reactive websites and so on? I've to admit,   
   when I first encountered the Internet, everything was already starting   
   to become what it is now, no modems and not everything text-only. But I   
   imagine it to be pretty cool back then, connecting via modem to another   
   mailbox close to you... (For the info, I was born in 1997)
