From: theadvancedmarketinggroup@gmail.com              Argument: "If Jesus had wanted tithing to stop, He would have said so in the       Gospels."              Rebuttal: Using that logic;              1. The tithes God said are His are agriculture, not money. (Lev. 27:30,32) If       Jesus had wanted us to tithe money, He would have said so in the Gospels.              2. The place God said tithes are to be taken is in the land of Canaan/Israel.       (Deut. 12:10-11) If Jesus had wanted us to take tithes to a location outside       of the land of Israel, He would have said so in the Gospels.              3. God said non-Levites are not to go near the House of God with their tithes.       (Num. 18:21-23) If Jesus had wanted non-Levites to take tithes to the House of       God, He would have said so in the Gospels.              4. God said only the tithe of tithes is to be taken to the House of God, (Num.       18:24-32; Neh. 10:29,38) If Jesus had wanted more than the tithe of tithes to       be taken to the House of God, He would have said so in the Gospels.              5. Leviticus 27:30-34 tells us that God's tithe Ordinance was given to Moses       for the children of Israel. If Jesus and His apostles had wanted the saved in       Christ to tithe, He would have said so in the Gospels and His apostles would       have said so in the        epistles.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
