From: theadvancedmarketinggroup@gmail.com              Often when teaching the biblical truth about tithes people will ask me, "When       did the tithe start?" as if the answer to their question will be an "aha!"       moment for them and a theological coup d'etat.              Tell me, which "tithe" are you speaking of when you say, "When did the tithe       start?"              1. Are you speaking of the tithe of war spoils?              That started three hundred fifty years before the giving of the Law to the       nation of Israel when Abram met Melchizedek at the valley of Shaveh after       killing an army of wicked kings.              2. Are you speaking of the tithe of agriculture grown and bred on the       inherited land?              That started in 960 B.C. after the Israelites had taken possession of the land       of Canaan and were at rest from their enemies round about. (Deuteronomy       12:10-11; 2 Chronicles 6:5-6)              3. Or are you speaking of the tithe of man's monetary income?              That started in the 20th Century A.D. after a pastor decided to play God and       invent his own tithe doctrine to make money from gullible uneducated fools.              >> So, which tithe are you speaking of?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
