More settlements have been built       there which the Israelis aren't supposed to do. But I think the Israeli       government has become resigned trying to work anything out with the usual       suspects of Islamic terror.        Whatever they had agreed to Hamas and Hezbollah are sure to ruin that       arrangement with more attacks. They have formally annexed sections of West       Bank land as punishment for attacks and I remember seeing a map that shows how       Israel is eating up the West        Bank bit by bit. At times they let some of the more radical elements in their       society to take initiative which doesn't work in their favor. Again, the       Israelis have long since had enough even before this current event.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
