From: theadvancedmarketinggroup@gmail.com              Updated version...              WHAT IS A PALESTINIAN? You might be surprised...              Everyone, and no one, could be a so called "Palestinian." Anyone, including       the Jewish people living in the Land of Israel falsely named "Syria       Palaestina" by Roman invaders in 135AD (where the label "Palestine" came from)       could rightfully call        themselves "Palestinians," and in fact did so.              There has never been a distinct and uniquely recognizable Palestinian people       that has developed, or a race, or an ethic background, or a culture, or a       religion, or a legal system, or a coinage, or a distinct ancient national       history, or an economy, or a        language, or a religion unique and distinguished as "Palestinians."               So called "Palestinians" have been comprised of Jews, Arabs, Egyptians, Romans       and others for centuries. Based on that fact, no claim established on historic       or current reality would give the Land of Israel to a small group of people       who are now        attempting claim "it's our land of Palestine because we are Palestinians."       Again; what is a Palestinian?               Palestine was composed of different ethnicities. There are Palestinians who       are and were Israelis, Arab, Kurdish, Syriac/Assyrian, Armenian, and       Afro-Arab, Ghassanids, Nabataeans, Qedarites, Ummayads, Abbasids, and some       others. The Armenian population        were there for a long time, nearly 2000 years.              Suddenly, and magically, the Palestinians are now ONLY MUSLIM ARABS exclusive       of all other people? Such a claim is ignorant nonsense.              MANDATORY PALESTINE PERIOD              During the modern "Mandatory Palestine period," the term "Palestinian" was       used to refer to all people residing in the Land of Israel, regardless of       religion or ethnicity. Today, the "Palestinian people" have become an Arab       ethno-nationalist group        residing primarily in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, Israel, Jordan and parts       of southern Lebanon and Syria with no historic or legitimate claim on the Land       of Israel.              In 1930 the Palestinian Post Newspaper (now called The Jerusalem Post) was       owned and run by Jews (an antecedent paper, The Palestine Bulletin, was       founded in January 1925 by Jacob Landau of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency).              The Palestinian National Orchestra was comprised of all Jews. The Palestine       Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1936 under the leadership of Jewish musician       Bronislaw Huberman. Huberman, a violinist, at first envisioned an       international center for the arts,        but instead focused on developing a critically acclaimed symphony orchestra.       Conditions in Europe had become such that the orchestra could serve as a haven       for persecuted Jewish musicians.              The establishment of a Jewish National Library in Jerusalem was the brainchild       of Joseph Chazanovitz (1844–1919). His idea was creating a "home for all       works in all languages and literatures which have Jewish authors, even though       they were created in        foreign cultures." Chazanovitz collected some 15,000 volumes which later       became the core of the library. The B'nai Brith library, founded in Jerusalem       in 1892, was the first public library in Palestine to serve the Jewish       community.              The term "Palestine Regiment" refereed to the Jewish Infantry Brigade Group of       the British Army during World War II, and the term "Palestinian Talmud", which       is an alternative name of the Jerusalem Talmud, was used mainly in academic       sources.              PALESTINIANS              In modern and current society, beginning about 1964-65, encouraged by Muslim       Arab propaganda and the terrorist organization, the P.L.O., the Muslim Arabs       began to call themselves "Palestinians" attempting to be seen as a distinct       people who have a claim        on the Land of Israel. In reality they're simply a group of Muslim Arabs       claiming to be "Palestinians" who "own the Land of Israel." There is no basis       of fact for any such claim. Their deceptive cry is "Palestine for the       Palestinians!" The Jewish people        could justifiably make the same claim.              THE MODERN NATION OF ISRAEL IS BORN              On November 29, 1947 the United Nations adopted Resolution 181 that would       divide Great Britain's former Palestinian mandate into a Jewish state, the       Arab Muslims turned down the mandate in May 1948 when the British mandate was       scheduled to end. On May        14th, 1948 Israel legally declared its nationhood and sovereign independence.        The international community said YES to the establishment of the State of       Israel. On 29 November, 1947, a 2000-year-old dream became reality: A Jewish       State was born anew in        its ancient homeland.              On that day the U.N. General Assembly voted on Resolution 181, adopting a plan       to partition the British Mandate into two states, one Jewish, one Arab.              Having ruled the area since 1917, Great Britain announced in February 1947 its       decision to terminate its Mandate. The Special Committee appointed by the       General Assembly recommended the establishment of two separate states, a       Jewish State and an Arab        State, to be joined by economic union, with the Jerusalem-Bethlehem region as       an enclave under international administration.              On May 14th, 1948 Israel formally declared its official statehood. The Arabs       having flatly turned down U.N. Resolution 181 chose to attack Israel the very       next day, a war they and 5 other Arab nations would lose which resulted in       about 750,000 Arabs        leaving the land and the new nation of Israel to become refugees. Resolution       181 would have given much of the land of Israel to the Arabs (later to call       themselves "Palestinians"), but the Arabs simply wanted it all and desired to       drive the Jewish people        out of their land.              WHAT WOULD WE OR OTHER COUNTRIES DO?              If a group of Muslim Arabs who decided to exclusivity call themselves       "Americans" (excluding all other people other than themselves) demand that all       people living in the United States leave the country and never return giving       it to these "Americans"        comprised of Muslim Arabs; how would the people currently living in the United       States respond...migrate to other counties giving into such territorial       demands? NOT LIKELY, NOT EVER. Why then should we expect the Jewish people in       Israel to do so?              Simply calling yourself a "Palestinian" doesn't mean you own land wrongly       renamed "Syria Palaestina" by invading Roman militarists 2000 yrs ago.                     [continued in next message]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
