Facebook has       pretty much put USENET out of business along with platforms such as "Yahoo       Groups." Sadly USENET has almost total freedom of speech, where in the case of       idiocy such Facebook,        YouTube, Twitter (in the past, now "X") are liberal highly controlled and       censured. Hopefully X will support freedom of speech.       > Matt2442:        > Usenet can probably be considered one of the oldest, if not THE oldest form       of social media. It's not going away, but you'll have to use a different       client and server to access it.       I was unable to see Matt's reply to NOS, the page wouldn't scroll down that       far, until I clicked to reply. That's never happened before.              Nothing seems to work very well on the web anymore. Maybe it's become too big       to manage. Or maybe AI is unable to manage it well.              How is Usenet better than Google Groups? I've never used it.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
