   I never joined google groups..I didn't like the way they controlled the   
   archives..making you remember the exact date and sentences in the post before   
   you can retrieve the message. Instead I used user net groups, there  news   
   reader free trials..but before    
   i found one I liked I discovered old computer browsers let me sign into google   
   groups ..using my same e-mail and password that I had from the very   
   beginning..news readers let you do that too. I had a few of my old computers   
   in L.A and the east coast..    
   but I used lap top and smart phones to read AFGS, only used the computers to   
   post..pain in the ass..Im on a computer now to read posts and messages    
   because the smart devices won't let me scroll down all the way. thats why I   
   started this new conversation.   
       
   I knew this would happen eventually. it happened to yahoo groups (the people   
   in those groups got the same notification) but unlike here, they lost   
   everything in there groups after years of posting. AFGS does not belong to   
   google and its archives are    
   forever preserved..well nothing lasts forever..but as long as there are   
   servers willing to serve...
