From: theadvancedmarketinggroup@gmail.com              If Melissa (or anyone else) is claiming to be a "New Testament Levite" then       she has a big problem, in fact, several problems...              1. The ministry of the Levite has been ended;               Hebrews 7:23 - "And they truly were many [Levite] priests, because they were       not suffered to continue by reason of death:"              2. They can only receive tithes under the Law of Moses, not under the New       Testament;              Hebrews 7:5 - "And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the       office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people       according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the       loins of Abraham:"              Nehemiah 10:38 - "And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites,       when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the       tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house."              Numbers 18:21 - "And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth       in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the       service of the tabernacle of the congregation."              3. It's a ministry of death;              Hebrews 7:8 - "And here men [Levites] that DIE receive tithes; but there he,       of whom it is witnessed that he liveth."              3. The Levite ministry is inferior being from the law of a carnal commandment;               Hebrews 7:15-16 - "And it is yet far more evident: for that after the       similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, Who is made, not after       the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life."               4. The Levite priesthood and ministry is inferior to Melchisedec;              Hebrews 7:7 - "And without all contradiction the less [Levites] is blessed of       the better [Melchisedec]."              4. The eternal priesthood ministry of Melchisedec is eternal made after the       power of endless life;              Hebrews 7:16-17 - "Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but       after the power of an endless life. For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for       ever after the order of Melchisedec."              5. It's been replaced;               Hebrews 7:11-12 - "If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood,       (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that       another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called       after the order of        Aaron? For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change       also of the law."              6. She would be better off claiming to be Melchisedec. The problem is that she       is NOT Melchisedec and has no authority to receive tithes as Melchisedec did       from Abraham. She is not Melchisedec and her followers are not Abraham.              Hebrews 7:24 - "But this man [Melchisedec], because he continueth ever, hath       an unchangeable priesthood."               7. Her Levite "priesthood" is over, finished, replaced...              Hebrews 7:15 - "And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude       of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,"              8. Her Levite "priesthood" has been cancelled, abolished being weak and       unprofitable;              Hebrews 7:18 - "For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment [which       created the Levite priesthood; Hebrews 7:16] going before for the weakness and       unprofitableness thereof."               9. There is no Levite priesthood continued into the New Testament;              Hebrews 7:22-23 - "By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.       And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue       by reason of death:"              10. We don't need a Levite;              Hebrews 7:28 - "For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but       the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is       consecrated for evermore.               ADDTIONALLY...              THREE KINDS OF TITHING;              Hebrews 7:8 refers to three kinds of tithing;               1. Levites who took and received tithes under the Law of Moses. (Hebrews 7:5)              2. Levites who paid tithes through Abram to Melchisedec. (Hebrews 7:9)              3. Abram who paid a tithe to Melchisedec thus establishing the superiority of       Melchisedec over Abram, the Levites and Levitical priesthood being in the       loins of Abram. (Hebrews 7:2-7, Hebrews 10:1-11)              Neither tithing example 1, 2 or 3 apply to the New Testament Church, they are       acts and events of the Old Testament. Additionally; the tithe given to       Melchisedec has proven the superiority of the priestly order of Melchisedec       once and for all and does        not need to be repeated over and over again to establish again the superiority       of the priestly order of Melchisedec, Melchisedec being a similitude of Jesus       Christ our eternal High Priest has been established (Psalm 110:4, Hebrews 5:6,       Hebrews 7:15,17).              The spiritual purpose of Abram paying tithes to Melchisedec was to demonstrate       and forever establish Melchisedec's superiority; that has been accomplished       and no further tithes need to be given to Melchisedec to prove anything       further. There is no        practical Biblical reason to "pay tithes" to Melchisedec as Abram did, and no       Biblical basis for paying tithes to a person claiming you must pay tithes to       them as Abram paid to Melchisedec. Abram paid tithes once to Melchisedec, he       did not pay a tithe to        a pastor, TV preacher, a church or any other person under the New Testament.              In Abram, the tithing under the Law of Moses [ergo; the Levites; Hebrews       7:5,9] and tithing before the Law of Moses by Abram, are brought together as       one event, one process, one act in and by one person; Abram tithing to       Melchisedec. One factual        statement of the superiority of the priesthood of Melchisedec who is a type, a       similitude of the eternal priesthood of Jesus Christ [Hebrews 7:7,15]. Any       further tithing as combined and seen in Abram (under the law or before the       law) is declared thus...              Hebrews 7:18 - "For there is verily a disannulling [cancellation] of the       commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof."       Canceled because it is both weak and unprofitable, therefore not continued       into the New Testament.              CONCLUSION;              No New Testament person has been authorized by God to receive a tithe for       Melchisedec or for Jesus Christ. As for paying any tithes; God's word makes it       clear; tithing of any kind is now canceled having accomplished what it needed       to accomplish under        both Abraham and the Law of Moses...                     [continued in next message]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
