   That's double talk. You know as well as I do that Gene did his best to equate   
   "pastors to Levites" in one way or another in an attempt to say "as Levites   
   (even as types), pastors have the right to take tithes of a congregation." One   
   of the theological    
   problems with that claim, by the way, is that Levites were ONLY given the   
   tithe of the agricultural products of the Land of Israel...   
      
   Numbers 18:21 - "And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth   
   in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the   
   service of the tabernacle of the congregation."   
      
   Note; IN ISRAEL...no where else. And, it was ONLY agricultural products, NEVER   
   MONEY... See; Lev. 27:30, 32, Num. 18:27, Num. 18:28, Deut 12:17, Deut. 14:22,   
   Deut. 14:23, Deut. 24:21, Deut. 26:12, 2 Chron. 31:5, 2 Chron. 31:6, Neh.   
   10:37, Neh. 13:5, Mal.    
   3:10, Matt. 23:23, Luke 11:42.....All agricultural, never money from income.   
      
   God has NEVER levied a tithe on anyone's income. The tithe requirement was   
   SOLEY on the agricultural produce of the Nation of Israel, the Promise Land.   
   IN FACT, they were NOT even permitted to tithe outside of the Land of Israel...   
      
   Deuteronomy 12:8-11 - "Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here   
   this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes. For ye are not as yet   
   come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you.   
   But when ye go over    
   Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit,   
   and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye   
   dwell in safety; Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall   
   choose to cause his name to    
   dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt   
   offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your

   1. "go over Jordan"   
      
   2. "dwell in the land"   
      
   3. "when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about"

   6. "thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and   
   your sacrifices, your TITHES, and the heave offering of your hand, and all

   The problem with you Scotties is that you don't know ONE DAMN THING about   
   Biblical tithing. You believe "the word of Scott," you do not believe the WORD   
   OF GOD. Ergo;

   which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye."

   Christ."

   Dennis, I have FLOODED this forum with the results of much study and prayer,   
   post after post on many subjects, (ESPECIALLY on Gene's nonsense and B.S.   
   concerning tithing), points that I have noticed that you have yet to disprove   
   with SCRIPTURE.
