What teachers are these? At the UCLA extension? Are they telling you to
"befriend" the star, or to actually give them a copy of your script? If it's
the former that's a bad way to do it (glad you're ignoring them!), and if
it's the latter, it's *really* a bad way to do it. To avoid lawsuits later
on, celebs/directors etc can't accept scripts or treatments. You have to
submit copyrighted material to their agent or production office. :-)

Anyway, totally O/T sorry, moving on..

That's true. We're all so busy shucking corn, we can only dream about
   tinseltown!

LOL, j/k. But I don't understand what you mean by Hollywood culture. I mean,
I understand what it is, but not how it applies to visiting star's homes. If
anything, tourists and newbies are the first ones to track down a celeb's
house. Locals are usually much more blase (or at least pretend to be :-)).

I don't think you're a troll or a stalker, and indeed tour buses go by
famous homes all the time. Like I said, curiosity is natural! Just as long
   as it doesn't get personal!

It's a combination of elements that makes me uncomfortable. If someone just
wants to see some celeb houses and hangouts, ok. If someone says "I really
want to meet this person", "I'd like to work with this person", "I feel this
person and I have a lot in common", and they go their house and look around,
that makes me a little uncomfortable.

I don't think you have any intention of tracking him down or doing anything
wrong. And it's ok to have the hots for George, you're in good company! Lol.
I'm just saying ..if someone felt that way about me, and I found them
walking around outside my house, looking into my yard etc, it would feel too
   personal.

Just my lil ol corn-shuckin' opinion. :-)
