   1886: WILLIS H. O'BRIEN, who did the stop-motion special effects for   
   "The Lost World", the original "King Kong", "Son of Kong", "Mighty Joe   
   Young", "The Black Scorpion", and "The Giant Behemoth", is born in   
   Oakland, Calif. He also wrote the story "King Kong vs. Prometheus"   
   which became the basis for "King Kong vs. Godzilla".   
      
   1921: KENJI MISUMI, who directed "Return of Daimajin", is born in   
   Kyoto. He also directed "Buddha" and numerous Zatoichi and "Lone Wolf   
   and Cub" films.   
      
   1931: YU FUJIKI is born in Tokyo. Frequently paired with Tadao   
   Takashima, he was Okabi in "The Three Treasures", Kinsaburo Furue in

   1944: BRENDA THOMPSON, who was the voice of Quinn on "The Godzilla

   1955: TERRENCE STONE, the U.S. dubbing voice of the Magician and   
   others on "V.R. Troopers", Cinecon on "Power Rangers Time Force", and   
   Seimei no Abe in "Onmyoji", is born in Wicklow, Ireland.   
      
   1961: "The Mysterians" is released in Denmark.   
      
   1966: SUSAN BRADY, the voice of an old Japanese woman on "Power   
   Rangers Dino Thunder" and Mystic Mother on "Power Rangers Mystic
