   1911: DOUGLAS FOWLEY, who played Jones in "Mighty Joe Young", is born   
   in New York City. The father of music producer Kim Fowley, his other   
   films include "The Mad Game", "Singin' in the Rain", and "The North   
   Avenue Irregulars", and appeared on TV on "The Life and Legend of   
   Wyatt Earp", "Perry Mason", "Pistols 'n' Petticoats", "The Streets of   
   San Francisco", and "The Rockford Files".
