   1918: BEN JOHNSON, who played Gregg in "Mighty Joe Young", is born in Foraker,   
   Okla. The former rodeo star won an Oscar for "The Last Picture Show", and also   
   appeared in "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon", "Rio Grande", "Wagon Master", "The Sun   
   Shines Bright", "
