XPost: alt.movies.monster       From: fungusized@hotmail.com              "Mr Director"       > A UFO is discovered and you mean to tell me the most of the world's       > journalists aren't in Japan convering this?       >              Watch it again. There's a scene where a HUGE crowd of reporters is gathered       near the building. Remember, one even reports "and the military is       wondering, where is Godzilla."              >       > And what about G vs Megaguirus? Where were the reporters then?       >              Reporters for what? The Dimension Tide is *top secret*, and when it's first       used against Godzilla, it's on an uninhabited island. When Shinjuku flooded,       there was a military barricade around the city. Have you known many military       actions to willingly let reporters in when they don't know what the       situation is? Remember also, in many of these movies, They know where       Godzilla is landing, and evacuate the areas, plus put a no-civilian flyzone       in the area (especially since many of their vehicles tend to be flyers, and       Godzilla is notorious for shooting down helicopters.              It's just common sense usage. When the monsters appear out of the blue, the       military quarantines the areas ASAP, and evacuates if possible. It's not       going to be a big media fest until after the situation resolves. Not to       mention timing. Megaguilas emerges, then goes right after Godzilla. Between       his emergence, and time of demise, it couldn't be more than a few hours.              But in G2000, there is definetly no shortage of media attention given to the       UFO. In GxMG, there's just not enough TIME for a reporter to get into the       action.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
