   The wand sees power as skill.  if you can defeat the Master, you're   
   better.  Sure, Draco basically suckered punch DD, but he won the   
   wand's allegiance.  Grindy might not have won it by just stealing it.   
      
   Then again, DD might have let Draco disarm him, in order to save him.
