     I've heard, but not sure if it's for real that 666 is the number of the   
   carbon atom.  LIke number of whatever it's m ade up of (elements?)  Which   
   would mean it's not evil but "animal" (form) compared to spiritual (non   
   form).  Though, if this is true, it's still amazing that whoever put it in   
   the bible (at whatever point) knew this.
