From: houseelftaxidermy@webtv.net              Weird. I expected folks to think my questions sappy, as I said       "sentimental", but I didn't believe it'd sound like some kind of "scam".       I'm really sorry if it came across that way. I have no "schtick" and I'm       not paid to write anything. I didn't believe anyone "stupid" and the       only "info" I was looking for, was a bit of personal insight...wisdom       really, on how long-time fans kinda dealt with walking away from the       series, the books in particular.              Even with the constant threat, Rowling seemed to create a kind of warm       and comfortable world in the first three books atleast, and the films       seemed to reflect this as well, ultimately only to turn that world       upside down and basically wreck it entirely by the end. There was a lot       of character development with no real conclusion for most of the       characters and some felt very hastily resolved, Remus and Tonks for       example. Ultimately, even though I was thankful for the epilogue in the       seventh book, it seemed to raise more questions than it answered. I       guess I was sort of wondering if I were the only one to both really       enjoy the series and wish to see it succeed, but also feel a rather       oppressive sense of loss and finality, with no genuine resolution.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
