   Interesting point and counterpoint.  Personally I think the former is more   
   likely than the latter.  By his very nature I suspect that Snape would be   
   reluctant to impart any knowledge that would result in someone eventually   
   surpassing his achievements.   
      
   Anyone familiar with the British education system?  Are they big sticklers   
   for "by the book" education or are they more flexable than that?
