   The ring was created earlier than most others.  I think the young   
   Voldemort thought to over protect it. As he grew, and his ego grew, he   
   stopped needing to over protect them.  He was convinced no one would   
   ever find them.  Like how the locket was protected by a blood lock. No   
   other ones did.  The older he got, the more confident he got.
