They initially seek the same       thing, victory over (rather then glad acceptance of) death ala the       Stone.              Thomas, we will differ on the use of the Stone only as a plot device,       it is much, much more.              It is our introduction to Ms. Rowling's literary alchemy much of which       is patterned after The Alchemical Wedding of Christian Rosycross or       The Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz.              Dumbledore removed the Stone from Hogwarts (and Harry and Voldemort)       as much to keep eternal life from LV as to realign Harry on his own       transmutational journey, of his soul and his acceptance of death.              This is why PS/SS is so very important. It is the beginning of our       journey, our own transmutation and Transfiguration..if we so choose to       use our Inner Eye(s) to do so. ;)       --       http://www.may41970.com/kunstler.htm              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
