From: tsbrueni@dcn.davis.ca.us              When Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban, why didn't the MoM just send him a       letter (using an owl to which they have attached a tracking spell). The owl       would locate Sirius, the MoM would locate Sirius via the tracking spell on the       owl, then the Aurors        would Apparate to Sirius' location!              Fred and George had a Marauder's Map which could locate anyone in Hogwarts.        For over 2 years, they had this map, while their brother Ron was present at       Hogwarts with his pet rat Scabbers A.K.A Peter Pettigrew. Why didn't Fred and       George ever look up        Ron on the Marauder's Map, and discover a "Peter Pettigrew" right on top of       Ron (and then ask Ron who the heck Peter Pettigrew is and why Ron is       constantly with him).              Late in the book, Scabbers fakes his death, leaving blood and ginger hairs       (like the ones on Hermione's cat Crookshanks). Hermione suggests that Ron       look for Scabbers under the boys' beds. Why don't Harry, or ron, or Hermione,       or Fred, or George think        of using the Marauder's Map to look for Scabbers?              When Sirius Black invades Hogwarts, why don't Fred, George, harry, Ron, or       Hermione think of using the Map to look for him?              When the Fat Lady refuses to let Sirius through her portrait hole, Sirius       slashes her portrait. This means that he TURNED INTO HIS DOG FORM in order to       slash the portrait with his claws. Why didn't the Fat Lady report having seen       Sirius turn into a dog?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
