   Over the summer, Dumbledore almost gets killed by a cursed ring which he very   
   foolishly put on his right hand!  Snape managed to confine the curse to   
   Dumbledore's right hand, but said that it would eventually spread and kill him   
   within a year.   
      
   Would cutting off Dumbledore's hand prevent the curse from infecting the rest   
   of him?
