   Most of V's followers thought that he was toast and could no longer protect   
   them. They therefore scrambled to renounce V and convince the MoM that they   
   had been Imperiused into backing Voldemort! Karkaroff gave the MoM the names   
   of every DE he knew of    
   to get himself out of Azkaban!
