   Timeline: Snape overhears part of the prophecy concerning the one who can   
   vanquish Voldemort for good and warns Voldemort.  But when Voldemort decides   
   to go after the Potter family, Snape warns Dumbledore, who warns the Potters.    
   Hence the Potters    
   selecting Peter Pettigrew as Secret Keeper comes AFTER Snape's defection, so   
   it seems likely that Snape wouldn't know who the Secret Keeper was.
