   National Socialism does not aim unconditionally at bringing new ideas,   
   and the ideas of race and folk as well are certainly not new. But it   
   wants to restore the nation's previously despised values and does this   
   from a depth and desire and from a totality claim that are new.   
      
   We are simply not socialists in general, rather National Socialists.   
      
   Today we have a leader. The old parties have been destroyed, the   
   provinces, tribes and professions, are united, and things are   
   achievable that recently seemed impossible.   
      
   Our population policy must remove the defects, secure the procreation   
   of the congenitally healthy and restrain the proliferation of the   
   congenitally ill. Our race policy must support the bearing race of our   
   nationality, whereas one previously despoiled it, yes, raged against   
   it. We can solve both tasks; for we have the realizations of genetics,   
   the admittance of the existence of genes and the racial elements of   
   the populace and an insight into the leading importance of the Nordic   
   race.   
      
   The false doctrine that all human beings are equal still haunts heads   
   and resists the fundamental truth of inequality of human beings   
   according to their appearance, their genes and their accomplishments.   
   The valuation of human beings that results from this is portrayed as   
   arrogance of the more valuable, yes, of injustice.   
      
      One scorns our desire as racial arrogance, without noting that we   
   do not judge the individual according to race, rather according to   
   accomplishment. But in regard to the folk whole, we are concerned   
   about the race, because the Nordic race alone has over the course of   
   world history passed a performance test that is so mighty that is   
   obligates us to also employ this race for the new, even far greater   
   accomplishments that matter now.   
      
      The old cultures, and at their top the cultures of the   
   Indo-Germanic folk, have achieved the mightiest things, but not the   
   final one, the securing of their own existence. They have perished.   
   Our culture as well is threatened by inner dangers and external ones.   
   Will we reach or goal? Will we secure the survival of our culture, and   
   will we be able to increase it and pass it on, elevated, to the future   
   of our folk? If we fail, we who are basically the last large remnant   
   of the Nordic race, then the civilization of our race, yes, of   
   mankind, is for centuries and millennia in danger and probably lost.   
   If we succeed, then not only we are saved.   
      
   We want to take our nationality under care, to keep it away from   
   harmful influences. One mocks that as prudery; the charm of culture   
   supposedly lies only in diversity of touches. Well, we are fed up with   
   this over-stimulation and will abolish it.   
      
       Among the folks of previous cultures, much of the required will   
   and desire already appeared here and there, but it did not suffice.   
   The Indians saw the decline of their race, but their caste laws were   
   only in part race laws and came too late. The Romans as well saw the   
   desolation of their farms and childlessness, but the laws which with   
   they wanted counteract this were too weak and were not upheld.   
      
   A chimpanzee can ride a bicycle with a mastery that man will hardly   
   ever achieve. But the difference immediately shows itself that he can   
   no longer repair even the slightest damage to the bicycle. His skill   
   lasts only as long as man is there, who maintains the equipment for   
   him.   
     The Negro still learns to fix the bicycle, but has not invented it,   
   and it is difficult for him to himself adapt it to new conditions or   
   to improve it. The state is more ingenious than a bicycle, and one has   
   also put this "tool" into the hands of Negroes. Caricatures, like the   
   states of Liberia, Haiti, and San Domingo, were the result, and even   
   that much would not have come about, if one had not been able to   
   convey the accomplished examples of our states and without   
   half-breeds.   
      
     The machine, invented in order to help with work, one uses it to   
   make other people unemployed.   
      
   An extermination of all traditions, such as Bolshevism wants. One   
   torches the house in order to get rid of the bugs. It is not, say, a   
   lack or daring that makes us reject such criminal experiments. Rather   
   they are senseless and futile, because the new start would be   
   purchased through the loss of all the experience of the past and   
   through the extermination of the bearers of these experiences and   
   institutions, who necessarily stand by their cultural goods and would   
   have to be destroyed with them in order to make room for the dreamed   
   renewal.   
      
   The foreigners do not even have to first enter the land in numbers.   
   But if they do that and claim, like among us the Jews, even dominance,   
   then one must with calm firmness return them to the limits of right   
   and fairness.   
      
        If we shape our whole culture so that the foreign is pushed back,   
   the native becomes the guideline, then the slogan "open the path for   
   the capable" first obtains real meaning; for only he will now be   
   considered as capable, whose character lies in the direction that we   
   must wish, so that the folk whole becomes uniform and elevated.   
      
   Again and again, it is the Nordic race that has created the sciences,   
   knowledge, applications, and the preliminary work   
      
     Germany unifying under the sign of the ancient swastika, also   
   creates new forms of action of the narrower homeland, of the tribes,   
   of the provinces, for the great idea of blood and soil, race and folk.   
      
   Old Nordic praise of the god Thor (Donar) as vanquisher of monsters   
   and giants coincides surprisingly with the old Indian ones of the god   
   Indra.   
      
   Again and again, one has hammered into us that our ancestors were   
   course beasts, had nothing for themselves and owed all their education   
   to the foreign property of the far superior east, south and west.   
   The opposite is true.   
     Old Germanic art in the Bronze age and again, with different forms,   
   in the animal ornamentation of the folk wandering and Viking age, had   
   strict style laws, Germanic literature as well an incomparably strong   
   and high force of fashioning and its own legality.   
      
   Finally, it is not merely about giving our children properly grown   
   [wuchsrecht] names. Rather, completely different values stand before   
   our eyes as guiding: The leader and the following, honor, male   
   loyalty, youth associations, Germanic law, reverence of ancestors and   
   love for the clan, for the hereditary farmstead, regard for the   
   community - today we call it the social idea, the sanctity of women,   
   the family as germ cell of the folk, the homeland, love. They are not   
   merely views, rather also institutions. They are all blood-bound and   
   timeless.
