XPost: rec.arts.tv.mst3k.misc, alt.tv.mst3k       From: pauls@wauknet.com              Hi everyone,              I have some questions about Film Ventures International (the company       that added new credits/footage to movies thus making them avalable to       BBI to riff). God bless 'em for introducing us to Trumpy! :)              Quoting from the MST3k FAQ here are all the FVI movies:              "Episode 301- Cave Dwellers--originally "Ator The Blade Master,"       Episode 303- Pod People--originally "The Unearthling,"       Episode 305- Stranded in Space --originally "The Stranger,"       Episode 401- Space Travelers--originally "Marooned,"       Episode 405- Being From Another Planet--originally "Time Walker."       Episodes 213- Godzilla vs. The Sea Monster and 403- City Limits are also       FVI products but were not renamed, as far as we can tell.       Two other MST3K episodes got a similar, but slightly different treatment       from FVI: Episodes 322- Master Ninja I and 324- Master Ninja II were       each made up of a pair of episodes from the NBC TV show "The Master,"       strung together."              So my questions are:              1. In Pod People, what movie or movies is the footage in the opening       credits actualy from?              2. Did any other FVI movies featured on MST3k have added footage from       other movies? If so, where from?              3. Did any FVI "produced" movies get official home video releases?              I'm going to update the Internet Movie Database entries for each movie's       title making a note in the Alternative Versions section about the Film       Ventures International re-edits/additions.              Thank you!              P.S. Sampo- Could you add the answers to the above questions into the       "SUBTLETIES, OBSCURITIES, ODDS AND ENDS" section of the FAQ next time it       gets an update?                            -Paul.                      --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
