   I recently watched the MST3K DVD "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians". IMHO   
   the main problem is that the Martians are not worthy adversaries for Kris   
   Kringle. Perhaps we could make a better picture if Santa and the kids had a   
   better foil.   
      
   "Star Trek" suggests many better alien species for Claus and company to   
   overcome:   
      
   - the Klingons (talk about a tough fight!),   
   - the Vulcans (they must learn that Christmas need not be logical),   
   - the Ferengis (try teaching THEM generosity!)   
   - or the Borg (perhaps Santa can assimilate them into his workshop)   
      
   We could also take the fantasy route. Need a LOTR Christmas special? It   
   would be hard to beat "Santa Claus Conquers the Orcs".
