Those who haven't seen these segments would obviously be the most
interested, but since these segments have not been shown for years, it would
also be of interest to those who have seen all of these segments.

Nitpickers could point out that the "original" Mads included Josh and did
   not feature Frank.

Actually, I did not discover MST3K until the Sci-Fi era. My first experiment
was "Overdrawn at the Memory Bank" (in reruns). Pearl, Brain Guy and Bobo
were the Mads I "grew up on". Of course, I have seen many of the Comedy
Central episodes since then (thanks, Rhino), but I still love the Sci-Fi
Mads. It's like the Joel vs. Mike debate: for a lot of fans, both leads are
   special in their own way.

The idea of making a compilation of Comedy Central segments also has a lot
   of merit.

The story starts with the introductions of Brain Guy & Bobo, so that is
where such a compilation should begin. The story continuity idea was dropped
   after season 8.

Maybe so. But we can dream, can't we?
