Any car with fold down rear seats should be able to take a bicycle in
the trunk with just removing the wheels. It would be even easier with a
bicycle that had a quick release seat post. It's the seat and the pedals
that usually give me the problems. When I get everything just right the
bicycle will slide in effortlessly. When I get it wrong it takes a
   minute or two.

I've even been able to get bicycles in the tiny trunk of my '73
maverick. Seat does not fold down. But I won't even try that with my
cannondale. The steel frame bikes I didn't worry about dinging the frame
on the threaded end of the spare tire hook. Just tossed a rag over it so
   it wouldn't scratch the paint.
