Let's say for the sake of discussion that two candidates are running for
office. Let's say you and I are those two candidates. I favor a strong war
footing and kicking the crap out of anybody that says, "America is the
infadel and must be destroyed." You favor sitting down with these same
people over coffee and skoans to discuss how we can roll over to them.

Given those two positions, one would clearly put the troops at risk while
   the other would not.

Are we to accept the notion that just because Candidate 1 is more
inflamatory than Candidate 2, we should vote for Candidate 2?

YOU and your supporters might prefer your approach to mine and that of my
supporters, but just because the troops are exposed or shielded is not
reason to vote. And the risk level of the troops is not reason to deny one
   candidate to even speak.

I, personally, do not think that burning the Koran is a good idea or that it
will accomplish anything. But the idiot that wants to burn it has every
right to burn it, just as you have every right to burn our own Flag yet I
feel that it is also a bad idea.

Those that oppose the burning of the Koran, especially the Muslim
opposition, have no problem burning down an entire church, or killing a man
or woman just for carrying a Bible, then burning the Bible after they are
done killing the person carrying it.

When you are taking sides on this issue, you should be mindful of whom has
declared war on who. We must never be afraid to confront our enemy, whether
we confront it on the battlefield or in our own neighborhoods. When the
citizenry of the United States of America is afraid to do anything out of
concern that an ENEMY might take offense, then that enemy has won.

I don't think the Pastor in Florida should be burning the Koran, but if he
is intent on doing so, the President of the United States should not step to
the podium and denounce the act. By doing so, the President has surrendered
the moral high ground that we hold, or seek to attain -- depending ou where
one stands. Singularly, citizens might be idiots that do stupid things, but
collectively we should stand tall and strong against our enemy. Singular
acts of stupidity should not be addressed by the White House.
