XPost: alt.politics.usa, alt.politics.democrats.d, alt.politics.usa.republicans       XPost: us.military       From: tim.howard@suddenlink.net              Tea Party-supported candidates for the House of Representatives, Ilario       Pantano in North Carolina, and Allen West in Florida, were both accused       of committing, or being involved in war crimes in Iraq. Pantano was       accused of murdering two Iraqi detainees, and West admitted to violating       military policy by psychologically torturing of a detainee, who btw did       not provide accurate information. Now before anyone responds to say       that I should not condemn Pantano since he was not found guilty of       anything, I say that there have been many such war crimes since 09/11 in       both Iraq and Afghanistan, and the perpetrators get away with it.              It is a shame that the USA does not prosecute it's war criminals, but       not surprising. After all many of our Presidential administrations have       committed war crimes and no one in any of them was punished. Robert       Macnamera was responsible for the deaths of millions from his       involvement in the Vietnam war, and as head of the World Bank, and he       walked the streets freely until his death. Henery Kissinger is wanted       for prosecution for crimes against humanity in several nations, but       protect him instead of arresting him. Compared to them, West and       Pantano, are insignificant, but it is a shame they have enough support       to gain their party's nomination for the House.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
