   God gave humans free will instead of like He did with animals who   
   operate almost entirely on instinct.  He wanted humans to use that free   
   will to love one another and to love Him as He loves humans.  When   
   humans use(d) that free will in a way that is selfish to their own ends   
   then He becomes dissapointed.  That is the double-edged sword of free   
   will.
