   I love this definition:   
      
   "FREEDOM OF SPEECH IS WHEN THEY LET YOU TALK, DEMOCRACY IS WHEN THEY   
   LISTEN"   
      
   So I have freedom of speech but not democracy. And you may have the   
   reverse as well. Ideally you would have both but few societies have   
   reached that stage. Perhaps Germany and Scandinavia have.
