From: white_nz_ranger@CUTTHISOUTyahoo.com              S       P       D       E       m       e       r       g       e       n       c       y       !              Set in the amorphous near future, we're gifted with seeing what could be the       forerunners of Time Force (if the writers are so inclined, or at least, not       opposed to), Space Patrol Delta.              I'm a bit confused on why B squad is only 3 strong at the beginning of the       episode. I know they're elite, but after two years they still haven't managed       to       find anyone? If they were to serve as A squad's backup exclusively, I could       see       why only 3 would be okay, but if they're supposed to be autonomous they should       really have a full roster.              I'm intrigued on how street thieves could come to possess special powers. I       hope       important areas are shielded against Jack's ability. So, with the influx of       aliens comes mutant abilities? Will this get fleshed out in the series or       glossed over. And...where did we find the space?              Not that good an outing for B squad this time around. Failed to bring in two       thieves, got into a fight that required the thieves to help, got into a fight       that required A squad to finish, and lost a crucial piece of evidence. The       Commander must like them if the whole team isn't doing latrine duty.              Being Judged by a machine bothers me. How does it work? It sounded like it       works       like a lie-detector, but those get beat now. I hope a trial happens at some       point. And at what point do SPD officers get involved anyway? I assume       something       like SWAT, but it just seemed like overkill for B squad to be sent after       thieves       that steal primarily clothes and food. Probably just a training exercise.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
