From: nev@whidbey.com               I hate being on a two-week delay because I don't have cable or       satellite...               Is there anywhere online I could find these episodes for download? I've       looked, but probably in the wrong places.              ---               The theme song is catchy. The timing of the music and images are a       little off, but I can forgive that.               It was nice to see the Astro Ranger helmets used for "A" Squad's suits.               Why do I get the feeling Boom will become the DekaBrake / 6th Ranger       even though he seems a little clumsy now?               It was interesting to see that SPD does not immediately trust their       giant combat machines to a bunch of cadets on their first outing. That       shows that trust, and not mere power suits, are needed to ensure protection       of Earth.        The shortness of the battle scene also seems more like a teaser for the       audience. If we hadn't seen the DSMegazord in battle at all, it would have       made little difference to me.               The members of "B" Squad seem older than 18. That's nice to see again,       just like in "Lightspeed Rescue" and "Time Force". It means we won't have       to deal with high school bullies, proms at the end of the year, or other       'dumb' teen social issues.              --               SPD's policies on using their technology concerns me. The SPD Morphers       are always correct; Ranger suits can be called up at any time; etc...        Surely there will be an episode or two where the Judgement Scanners are       tricked, or are in error? Will aliens be considered innocent until proven       guilty, or will they always be evil whenever they appear, no questions       asked? Will they get their day in court, or does it always depent on the       Judgement Scanners in the moment?        Will "PR-SPD" have simmilar moral and ethical issues that real police       forces deal with in the real world? Or is the SPD advanced enough to avoid       or deal with those issues in proper fashion?                      James Nevermann ][              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
