|    [S.P.D.] "Walls"    |

From: nev@whidbey.com               (Forgive me if this is a repeat thread, but I'm on that two-week delay.)              ---               I think Sky's reaction to Sydney's comment about breaking a nail while       playing Light Ball was the most appropriate of them all.               When I recorded the second episode of S.P.D., there was a section of       tape that got scratched that included the megazords battle involving "A"       Squad. From what little I could see and hear, the robot that Ringbah used       in "Walls" looks very similar to the one from "Beginnings, Pt.2". Did that       same blue robot appear in more than one episode in "DekaRanger"? It's kinda       cool looking too.               When a powerred-up motorcycle appears on "PR", and it has little canard       wings on it, I have to wonder if it'll fly later on.               You know, those Krybots, even though they weren't winning, they surely       pack a powerful punch even in small numbers. So much so that the Rangers       had to use their power suits to fight them. Same thing after the       dragged-out intro for the new cycles, they can still fight well.        But then, suddenly, not three minutes later, they're getting their       mechanized butts kicked by Rangers who aren't morphed. Quite a contrast,       and rather inconsistent.               How did Jack know what was going on with the teleporter if none of the       others were communicating with him?               Something interesting about Sydney's special power. In the first       Episode, her right hand turned to metal and allowed her to punch through       strong objects during the training simulation. But then in "Walls", her       hand becomes a brilliant beam of light.        I went back to the first episode I had on tape, and Syd had something in       her hand during the simulation; some sort of debris or a rock. Then, in       this newer episode, she was holding one of the diamonds. It seems like her       power lets her mimic the capability and quallity of whatever she's holding.        I could be wrong, of course, and may be proven wrong later on.               Creapy little girl, that Mora.               I know there's no regular, every-week threat from the same villains on       "DekaRanger", but then who controlls the Krybots & Blueheads in the Sentai       series? Are they a "PR" creation? Or, are they a character brought back       constantly in "PR", but only appeared once in the Japanese series; just like       was done with the Zeltrax character from "AbaRanger"?               Does Disney have some sort of arrangement with Fox or the former       management of Saban Entertainment that says they can't use recurring       characters from shows they didn't make? I mean, they've used the Astro       Ranger helmets, and the Red Time Force Ranger suit, but the characters who       wore those aren't mentioned or used. The most obvious exception to this       would be Tommy Oliver, and the episode "Legacy of Power".        Why? Not enough money to fly them in, or was there a break in       negotiations...?                      James Nevermann ][              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
