From: nev@whidbey.com               (It's been requested, so here it is- two weeks late, that is...)               This was one of the better episodes. The honor-in-battle thing affected       Jack a lot more than I would have thought. Obviously, it wasn't explored as       much as it could have, but probably the only reason he noticed it because of       Crugger's words earlier.               I thought it was funny how Sydney Drew was featured on the cover of the       same magazine she was reading in the SPD lounge. We know she comes from a       wealthy family that raises dogs (types?), but I couldn't tell what the name       of the magazine was or what the headlines were.               What's up with the Hyperspeed travel thingie for the Delta Base Mode 1?       Why wasn't it just an instant teleportation thingie instead of a       convert-to-Crawler-mode-and drive-really-fast thingie? I would have       accepted that a lot more. Well, at least it took them time to travel that       distance.               Ahh... It was nice to see some original Japanese backgrounds for a       change.               That box robot was very simple, but rather cool looking. I actually       liked it alot. The stealling Japanese historical shrines was a cute idea.       Why did it do that in "DekaRanger"?               Katana acts kinda, well- kinda not like an alien. Though his time was       from before SPD, he seemed to not adjust well to the technology and changes       of the future He found the SPD lasers strange and foreign; yet he himself       piloted a space vessel way-back-when. Had mingling with the natives of this       strange green and blue planet made him forget that he wasn't a native of it?                      James Nevermann ][              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
