|    [toys] Third "DekaRanger" robot confirme    |

From: nev@whidbey.com               If Bandai America follows what it said earlier in the year, English       audiences will not be seeing the DX Tokusou Gattai DekaWing Robo in stores.       You must look elsewhere.               Yes, ladies & gentlemen, I spotted the Deluxe Delta Command Megazord in       a TRU on the West Coast yesterday.        My first reaction was how BIG it was! The DCM is displayed in a window       box in its Megazord form, and it is nearly 18" tall. But, even though there       are DX DekaBase Robo images along the box, I couldn't make good comparisons       between the two cousins. It's interesting to note that the DekaWing Robo's       Patwing vehicles are shown exiting the DCM, even though we won't get it.               I also had a chance to see some of the newest releases for electrionic       weapons & such.        It appears that DekaMaster's electronic D-Sword Vega will be released       here along with a few other useless accessories. This isn't the soft-blade       version that we've had before, but a solid toy sword. It is most likely a       retooling, like the Thundermax Lasers & White Drago Sword were from last       year.        The D-Revolvers aren't going to be the same as they were in Japan.       Instead of having motorized features with lights-&-sound, the new weapons       (didn't catch the name) have been recast solid, with a single spring-loaded       barrel for three-types of nerf-like shots. The spinning gold cylinder about       mid-weapon no longer spins, and is molded in as part of the toy's body. I'm       guessing that the area where the SP Liscence used to go will not apply here.       Instead, there are three colored plastic 'cards' that can be inserted and       removed- a la the Data Cards from the Data Bonders from "Beetleborgs       Metallix".        I also found a couple of 2' Jumbo Delta-Max Megazord sitting on the       selves.        The big thing this year seems to be the myriad of figures & vehicles       which will never be seen on-screen. I'll hold back on my degrading comments       there to save time.                      James Nevermann ][              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
