   As far as I can tell, there's no different in pronunciation, just in   
   length.  You can hear (by trying hard; sometimes it's hard to pick out)   
   them stretch the A out in Maagi as opposed to Magi.  Almost as if they   
   were saying Mah-ahgi with no audible split.  That's about it though.
