   I first started posting and reading this group in 1995/96 when it was   
   fairly new, and public internet access was $30/month for a 9600baud dialup.

   AFP-R used to be the place to go for information, it still is. Our posting   
   will go up soon once the people start to realize how clunky the Webboards   
   can be and how much bandwidth it takes to load up all the signature   
   pictures.

   Jesse was the all-time best person for information, as were many others no   
   longer posting in here. Probably the most memorable posts were from Paul   
   Schrier, George Rodd, and the absolute memorable post was Thuy Trang's   
   mother soon after Thuy's death   
      
   And I can't stand Rene/Red Racer even though he does contribute to the   
   fandom. He's too arrogant and too much a fundamental religion freak.
