I'll try my best, but there's probably others here that can expand on
   some of these

   > Anyone know what this is gonna be called when it's re-edited for "Power
   > Rangers" next year?

   Power Rangers Mystic Force.

   > Does the New Zealand unit work on both versions?

Yes, in a nutshell, but only the first few episodes had filming in NZ.
Everything's been Japan since then. But there is a steady relationship
now. No idea if the NZ unit works on both.

   > The MagiRangers are all siblings. I remember that the "Go Go Five" team

IIRC, the only other sentai season with siblings was Fiveman.

   > A beautiful older actress plays the mother in the first episode.
   > Finally an actress on the show who's close in age to me. Is there any
   > chance we'll see more of her? What's the actress's name?

Azusa Watanabe is the actress's name. In order not to spoil anything
for anyone, I'll answer the first question farther down.

   > I noticed the five rangers dancing under the end credits. Second time
   > I've noticed this ("DekaRangers" was the first.) Is this a trend?
   > Maybe Morning Musume-inspired?

There's been music videos at the end of practically every sentai, but
I'm not sure when the "dancing rangers" phenomenon started. Timeranger
was the last one before Deka where the episodes I downloaded had the
ending video and didn't cut it out, and that had them walking around,
but not dancing. So it apparently started sometime between Gaoranger
   and Dekaranger.

Magimother apparently shows back up sometime from episode 34 on...
possibly in that episode specifically, but I haven't seen it yet, so I
don't know the details. Before that, just flashbacks.
