   His break was negotiated into his contract so he could return to the U.S. to   
   attend to his family and his dojo(s?).   
      
   Don't know this for sure, but it's no big reach to assume his scripts were   
   sent/delivered/faxed to him and he then did his ADR at a California   
   recording studio and then the CD/tape was sent back to NZ to be used in each   
   episode. Of course, he went back for the concluding episodes.
